It just goes on and on and on and oo-o-on...

So my job is AWESOME.  I love it so far.  My boss is rad, and my coworkers are very cool.  I only made one mistake tonight!  And I served customers!  And tips!  I make tips!  :D

I also learned how to mop the floor.  That was just, lovely.  Haha.

i has a happy.  I had such a happy in fact, that I thought it would be a good idea to confess my undying love to a girl I've had feelings for for years.  ... Yeah.  We are still texting and talking, but I don't think that went as well as I'd have hoped for.  Ah, well, what can be done.

Firefly marathon tomorrow with [info]elliedragon , work again on friday... and inbetween that, finishing up some creative stuff and a possible Firefly video.  The idea is lurking in my head... we'll see if it happens.

    Love! <3

    Besties make life awesome

Tonight was so much fun.  [info]elliedragon and I went out for dinner because we're awesome, and a group of preteens across from us clearly thought we were on a date, and they kept listening to our conversation.  That was annoying but also kind of amusing.

Then we went Bowling!!!  It was super awesome!  Alexa did not accompany us tonight, which was sad, but she is being very flighty lately.  I won the first two games of bowling, Ellie the last on, but her average for all 3 beat mine.  Fun was had by all.  Cept our archnemesis who was bowling 3 lanes over- she didn't look like she was having all that much fun.  Hooray.

I wish I could quote some of the hilarious things we said tonight, but there were just too many!  I laughed so hard that my sides hurt and my face is sore.  Was great hilarity.

She is also astonished at my slasher prowess.  I really love Firefly, and I love slashing Mal, Jayne, and Simon in any combination.  In fact I'd love to see some 3-some fic about them.  Would be great.  There is so much Ho-Yay and Les-Yay on that show, it puts me in a coma.  I love it.

It has been a good day for my queer colored glasses.

    Sherlock Holmes
So, Sherlock Holmes just may be the most homosexual underscored movie to reach mainstream boxoffice numbers since Brokeback Mountain.  Oh my soul, Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law were fantastic.  They completey encompass Sherlock Holmes and John Watson and their LOVE story.  Because really, that is what it is.  They have always been one of my favorite OTP's, and this movie made me squee with delight so many times.

I want it as soon as I can get it.  I can't wait to find some quality fic popping up.

B: Awe, they totally just saved each others lives.  Poor Watson.
Me: Shhhh. I can hear the badly written hurt/comfort fics popping into existance!

It was a good day.  :)

Today, I revieved four texts from loved ones, a purple scarf, and a Magna Defender Morpher/AuraChanger.

    BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!!!

:D Hee. I gave: lots of skin care products, a story concerning Pirates and Ninja's, and two very happy kitties a delicious turky and duck gourmet dinner.

Oh, and the chocolate cake desert is also amazing!

Overall, a success story.  Hooray for commercial holidays.  ;)

    JOB!

    Me: I can has Job?
    Jeff: O rly?
    Me: Ya rly.
    Jeff: Kthxbai.

The best part is this exchange totally took place.  :D  So I'm working at an ice cream shop that requires me to sing and dance whenever I get tipped now.  And all of you are nodding and going "you're gonna fit right in!"
The also cool part, is that everyone at my store speaks Sign Language!  I'm gonna have to brush up on my signing.  And my singing.  Hehehe.  I'm actually pretty excited- have filled out all the paper work and done the training videos, and now I get to start doing the real training.  Hooray!  :D  Money is nice.  I like money's.  In short, my boss seems totally awesome, and my other co-workers seem... well hungry for fresh blood on which to feed, but other than that cool.  No seriously, Ellie and Adam were like "fresh meat, and at the bottom of the food chain!" They are also engaged.  S'gonna be interesting.

I spent the rest of tonight hanging out with Eric, who believe it or not did not fall off the face of the earth, and his NEW GIRLFRIEND!!! That is right ladies and gentlemen, our socially innept fanboy had snagged himself an equally drunk and disorderly keeper.  And to think, I always thought he was in love with his roommate Alex.  I probably owe Alex an apology, but whatever.  He's cool.  Eric also informed me that he "is working at (our local television station), finds my lack of updates on his life abhorring, and thinks I need to move into the other bedroom at his and Alex's apartment".

You know, sometimes it is nice to see that some things don't really change.  Did I talk to the guy at all this semester?  Twice.  TWICE!  And yet we hang out and its just like old times.  Awesome.

"I'm flying back to Chicago tomorrow."
    "To see your family?"
    "Indeed."
"You do remember you told me to never let you do that again, right?"
"Well where were your ranger senses when I was booking my flight home and assuring my mother I'd come visit?"
"I knew that was a familiar tingling last thursday."
    "..."
    "..."
    "..."
"You booked your flight last thursday?"
"You're a freak, get away from me!"
"My powers are just who I am!  They can not be undone!"

There was also a game of "I'm not touching you" which disolved into drunken tickle fight, a game of help Mychal find something soft to fall over on, and the equally fun game of help Allison not puke on herself.  Last one was mildly successful.  Oh Eric.  She's a keeper alright!  ;)

I'm gonna get smacked for this when he gets back, I just know it.  :D

What Makes a Holiday a Holiday Anyway
Well.  I'm no longer running around like a chicken with my head cut off, as semester is over and I somehow managed to keep my 3.7 GPA even during the semester of hell.  Hooray.

In other news, my family is poor.  We're pretty much not doing christmas this year.  And by this I mean, no one will be getting more than one present.  It's unusual for us, and frankly I think my brother may not even be here as he lives in Nevada and is equally poor and depressed and can't make it out here.  I'm aware that not everyone does christmas, obviously, but it is strange for my family and hence my posting about it.

To explain: We used to have really big christmas's.  Huge tree's, lots of decorations, we'd each get to buy a new ornament for the tree every year and we would make them with mom too.  Lots of food, more than anyone could possibly eat, and huge christmas lights displays.  My dad was the co-president of his own company in the 90's.  We were WELL off.  It was really nice.  He worked a lot, but he was the breadwinner and things looked like they'd stay that way for ever.  Jees, if I think of all the useless stuff we bought for each other when we had the money... makes me a little sick to my stomach.  My mom used to take me to the mall and give me 500 dollars to shop for my family and friends for christmas.  We don't even make that much in a month now.  It's wierd how things can change.  When my fathers business crashed in the late 90's, he was heartbroken.  It seems silly, but that was what he had poured his heart and soul into and it just fell apart.  That sucks.  So for a while he gave up.  We should have had enough in savings to last us forever, and he thought, fine, no big deal.  He even bought a boat.  He became a stay at home dad for my middle school and high school years, I guess trying to make up for how much he had missed of my childhood.  Then the economy started doing wierd things, I threw my knee out and got kidney stones, mom needed some serious dental surgery, Jesse left for Las Vegas, and the money was dwindling.  So dad started looking for jobs, but there just weren't any.  And here we are.

This started as a post for something totally different, which I will now get to, but that was remarkably therapuetic to type out.

IF YOU DON'T READ THAT, READ THIS PART: >>> I am thinking about writing my brother a story for christmas.  He is impossible to buy for, I don't have any money anyway, and he always encouraged my writing.  He asked once if he could read some of my stuff, and i sent him some "samples", and instead of calling me which would have been fake, he called mom to tell her to keep pushing me to write and to not let me quite it for any reason.  See, when my brother does stuff like that, thats affection and approval.  When he says it to your face, be worried.  But what could I write for him?  I want to write him something uplifting, yet short enough that he'll actually read it, and probably not homosexual fiction even though he would probably still enjoy it.  He is pretty cynical and rude and superior acting, and I just don't know what kind of stuff to include in this story.  I want some ideas.  If that's alright with all of you.  Feel free to comment, or send them telepathically.  ;)

Other gifts: I managed to get my dad some sun damage repair creme for his balding sunspotted head.  Moms idea. He had some melanoma up there a while ago, and he needs to take better care of it.  Yes, I'm calling that his christmas gift.  And mom specifically asked that we not buy her anything unless it was anti-wrinkle creme.  So.  We bought her some wrinkle repair creme.  Hooray.  ;)

Okay, and I must admit, the coolest part about not being able to buy much is that you think a lot harder about what you want to buy someone, right?  So the other day mom mother comes in here and wants to see my Morpher collection.  I was like, "Who are you and what have you done with my mother?" So I showed her some of it, explained why certain things were valuable, why some peices are my favorite peices, ect, and she *tactfully* asks what else I'm looking to add to my collection.  My mother is buying me power ranger morphers for christmas.  AWESOME.  The cool part is how bizarrely excited I am for this! :D

But yes, story suggestions for brother dearest would be awesome.  Mostly, I just want to make him laugh.  The man is going through rough times, and he just lost his dog.  Laughing would be good for him, methinks.  Much appreciated, guys.
